Come & Join us – become a volunteer
Right now, we are looking for volunteers to join our quest to improve the effectiveness of the work that we do to give our outstanding young musicians the support they need to realize their dreams.
By being a volunteer for ‘YBT’ you will be making a difference to young people’s lives in a way that up until now was only available for the elite few and even then, was not driven and coordinated in an effective way.
Whether you are only able to give up a few hours here and there or are looking for a full-time commitment, ‘YBT’ has something for you. If this is something for you, please contact us at working@ybt.be
Don’t see something suitable below – contact us anyway and let’s talk?

Concert Facilitators | Over the next years, ‘YBT’ is looking for additional concert opportunities for our musicians. Therefore, we are looking for people that, via their network can inspire people in industry and other organisations to work together with us to have our musicians perform for them, be it in their offices at lunchtime, performing for their employees, or in dedicated concert venues or large private houses. |
Event Coordinators | For every ‘YBT’ concert or event, there is always some coordination to do, be it physically at the venue or simply by making sure that everything runs smoothly and is supported by the media channels with ‘YBT’. Event coordination involves planning, communication and pragmatic problem solving. This function is therefore ideally suited to those with project management experience, or indeed those wanting to learn (training can be given). |
Event Assistants | At every event, we always need people to welcome our guests, to collect tickets, show people to their seats or work with the logistics teams for catering, cloakrooms and parking etc. If you have an evening or two a year free and would like to support us – contact us on the email address below. |

What YBT does:
We support extremely gifted, young classical musicians prepare for a professional solo career.
Every year, hundreds of youngsters enroll into Belgium’s music academies and conservatoires. Among them are just a few that have the potential to go all the way to make international solo careers. Unfortunately today, without the right support at the right time, these super talented students stand little chance of making it unless they can afford to attend the very best master classes & summer schools. In addition, they will need professionally built websites, promotional CD’s and videos, to learn media interview skills, legal and contract negotiation, financial management and even receive specialist performance coaching. In short, in their last few years in education, potential soloists must acquire the resources and life skills they need for a career, that for the biggest part, will be away from home, on the road. And this is where ‘YBT’ steps in. This is what we do. We help prepare extra-ordinarily gifted young classical musicians to fulfil their lifetime dreams.
