The 2018 competition is seeing the greatest variety of applications from musicians ever, with the opening of the entry requirements to all instruments and voices, the first-round jury had a tough time making their selection for the sixteen going through to the ‘live’ auditions on September 1, 2018.
So far we have five clarinettists, a pianist, three violinists, a percussionist, two cellists, a French horn, saxophonist, oboist and a Bassoonist battling it out for one of the five places in the final at Studio 4, Flagey on Saturday December 15, 2018.
